The Infinite Drop

A Novel

Emma didn't fall asleep. She fell into another realm.

One moment she is nestled in bed between her dogs.

The next?

She finds herself sitting outside, in the grass. It's dark. Someone watches.

When a light clicks on, she realizes she's arrived in another world unlike hers.

A dog stares quizzically at her. He's standing on hind legs wearing wire-rimmed glasses, holding a notebook and pencil.

The strange dog talks to her, tells her that he was searching for her.

She doesn't understand his language, yet she feels the urgency in his voice.

It's clear this dog is her only ticket home.

Caught between worlds in a terrifying nightmare, Emma is tested.

She must find courage.

She must remember a forgotten language, as ancient as time itself.

The Infinite Drop is coming.

The final phase of pre-edit rewrites and revisions are coming to a close.

Emma is real, and she's almost home.

Follow The Infinite Drop progress. Be one of the first to know when it arrives!

Champions Of Challenge

A Series

Champions of Challenge are playful, animal driven short stories with a strong message.

You are always enough. Your companions are always enough.

How it began:

A simple series of questions posed inside a private FB group encouraged seven brave humans to answer the call.

Without a plan, the animals spoke.

Weeks later, seven fictional tales were born.

Each story is built around a real companion animal, and a challenge as seen by the human who answered the question.

What came after shocked me. Each told their unique story, yet there was one common theme between them.

Their mission?

Recognize the gift in the grotesque.

Turn perceived challenges into superpowers. That's exactly what we did.

As I wrote the stories, I felt an intuitive nudge, unrelated to the other seven stories. Or was it?

As I listened, I heard Tank, a lost tortoise who I helped search for the previous fall. He asked to be my eighth story.

His beautiful story brought closure for everyone involved in his search. It was a tale of why he had to move on.

These stories are being reimagined. They deserve the best version of themselves.

Some will become published books. Some will become something else unknown at this time.

All of them will find you at exactly the right moment, in exactly the right format.

Something super is coming. Watch this space.

Substack

Stories from the Realms of Raidho

Words From The Realm. Writing from the heart.

Some inspiration arrives quietly in a gentle dream or on a walk with the trees.

Some inspiration arrives like a freight train that has no brakes.

Like the linked article from the day Jango had a stroke.

October 2025.

Tick Tock Boom was written the evening following the event.

(Jango is amazing, healthy, and appears to now be aging backwards.)

In the intense moments, the ones where time stops, I write. It heals me.

Substack is my outlet, a place I share my heart, my creative work, and my honesty in the midst of a life experience.

Words fall onto the "page" when there is something important to share.

Come hang out with me. Read what the journey looks like from the inside.

My first printed book. And far from my last!

The journey continues beyond this page.

Come with us.
